| Advanced Calibration Interface for GMSWe are committed to providing the best possible products to help you with the improvement of quality in your day to day operations. Many of you have worked with the calibration of thread gages, gage blocks, and other devices requiring intensive calculations or highly repetitive entry. We have expanded our Advanced Calibration Interface to now help you even more than ever before. This product offers many advantages as a means of speeding your work, reducing mathematical calculations and the errors they involve, and just reducing the busy work associated with these types of calibrations. To make sure that this product meets these needs, we have drawn upon the resources of our metrology and calibration advisory group to develop these interfaces in full accordance with all existing standards. Please read further to learn more of the advantages this product offers. The Advanced Calibration Interface goes far beyond being just a simple helper. This package allows GMS to provide you with specially designed calibration screens for a number of specific types of gages. It actually guides you through the setup and calibration of these devices. And it calculates nominals, tolerances, and performs all routine calculations for you as a part of its operation.
As an example, consider thread gages. As a regular part of thread gage calibration, each of us refers to the ANSI thread standards repeatedly to determine correct wire size, major and minor diameters, pitch diameters, and the many different tolerances to be applied. It can take several minutes to just find and enter the necessary information for thread calibrations in other software packages.
The Advanced Calibration Interface asks only for your pitch diameters and determines all other information for you automatically. This same level of assistance extends through out all of the special interfaces that make up this great package. Let's look a the interfaces provided in this package. Thread Gages: Based upon go / no go pitch diameters and your thread specification, GMS calculates pitch diameter tolerances, major and minor diameters and tolerances, flank angles and tolerances, and best wire, minimum wire, and maximum wire sizes. When you enter your over the wire or ball measurements, GMS corrects for the wire used and automatically enters the corrected values along with your other measurements into the Test Data tables. All calculations and values are based upon ANSI B1.2 and B1.16. Gage Block Sets: You tell GMS whether you are working with inch or metric blocks, the tolerance grade, and the set size. GMS uses GGG-G-15C to set up all blocks in your set with proper tolerances and nominals ready for you to enter the actual sizes in the Test Data tables.
Cylindrical Plugs/Rings: You tell GMS whether you are working with inch or metric gages, the tolerance class to apply (i.e. XXX, XX, X, Y, Z, ZZ, or Special ), and the member nominals. GMS sets up a special entry screen for entry of your data including proper tolerances and stores your values in the Test Data tables.
Incremental Sets: You tell GMS the largest value, the smallest value, and the incremental change in member size, along with the tolerance to apply and GMS sets up the entire set ready for entry of values in the Test Data tables. This is especially useful for pins gages, wire gages, micrometers, calipers, indicators, other gages that are checked incrementally.
Cylindrical Gage AI: Our Cylindrical Gage Advanced Calibration Interface is always ready for your data entry. It contains nominals with tolerances for each member for your reference. When you enter your data, GMS places all data into the Test Data table. GMS compares your data to the tolerances and marks any out of tolerance conditions for your review. Thread Set Plug AI: Our Set Plug AI screen contains all nominals, tolerances, ready to receive your data. Wire / Ball sizes are are also on the screen. When you change the wire size in the highlighted field, your pitch diameters shown for go and no go members change also. When you enter your data, GMS corrects you pitch diameters for your wire size and enters all data into the Test Data table. Pricing: Placing Your order: Upgrades for Registered
