 | Major Screen Improvements - We
have added a number of new features to improve the appearance of the
interface. Colors are used to identify fields that must be completed. We
have also rearranged a number of the fields at the requests of our users to
aid and improve the flow of keyboard entry. Many of our screens have been
combined to reduce entry effort. Our beta testers loved the new layouts!

Query
Manager for GMS
-
We have introduced this new
wizard-like reporting and query tool. It is designed to be extremely simple
to use. It is intended for those who have no prior computer experience, no
prior database experience, and no time to learn! The screens are simple,
easy, and heavily assisted to provide users with extra help and just the
right selections to be sure they create the report they want the first time.
We've retained the Report Manager for those needing more prower and
flexibility.

Device Inventory
-
The Device Inventory Screen
remains the central focus of your work. Now we've made it even more simple
to use by combining several of the sub screens into the main screen.. fewer
mouse clicks! This has been one of your most requested changes. From this
screen, you may view you device info, calibrate a device, issue a device, or
repair a device. GMS automates much of the work for you here by
intelligently completing actions for you at every opportunity. Actions can
be completed with as little as a single click. We have rearranged the screen
as you suggested. Edit the Location, Assignment, and Status of devices in a
fast spreadsheet style fashion using the Browse Screen. And you can
modify any of the printed reports using the Report Manager and Report
Editor. Many other improvements make the inventory even easier and more
powerful than ever.

Calibration
- The Calibration Info
screen has been significantly improved and rearranged. Several of the sub
screens have been combined into the main screen again reducing muse clicks.
A Status change to “IN Use” is now automatically made when a device is
calibrated if the calibration results are acceptable. Support for As Found
and As Left conditions that you create to designate special conditions has
been added. Support for "Calibration Result" has been added that
enables you qualify the overall outcome of the calibration. The test data
entry process can now be completed using a spreadsheet that makes entry of
large amounts of test data much faster. Graphs of test data are now included
for your trend analysis needs. The Masters screen and Costs screens have
been merged into a single screen for your convenience. A button lets you
enter repair data directly into our new repair module.

Repair Manager -
The Repair Manager remains
a major module improvements added to improve tracking, controlling, and
recording your repair activities. Repair Manager provides comprehensive
reporting of repair activities, outstanding repairs status, and repair
history of devices to determine applicability and propriety of use.

Gage Studies -
We improved the AIAG
portion of our MSA Studies to provide all considerations for AIAG
requirements. AIAG modules measure stability using “average and range”
charts, linearity using the suggested sample sizes of the last AIAG
revision, and other related improvements. These include the (much asked for)
graphs of study results.

Search and Replace - We have completely updated the search
and replace utility to allow you to make global changes with any set of filter
requirements you wish with our filter tools.

Import and Export Utilities - These have been completely
rewritten to make it even easier to move your data about.

GMS Viewer -
Now you can create a file that contains you
calibration cert data and end it to other persons for viewing with the GMS
Viewer. They can print their certs from this utility or view them as they wish.
This utility can be installed on as many computers as you wish. Now electronic
exchange of certs can be easily accomplished.

Send 2 Lab -
We have also provided a utility to easily
create groups of data for transfer to your calibration facility with your gages.
They make updates to your data and return it with your gages. You import it and
you're done. Fully electronic exchange of data with labs using our software is
now simple and easy.

System Reports
- We have made all GMS for Windows system reports available to you through
the Report Manager for editing and revision. Please read the Users Manual for
precautions on revising these forms and labels.

Over a dozen
new reports have been added to answer special tasks that would have previously
required you to create them using the Report Manager.

- We have added several new QuickLists to the software that you have
requested.

Today’s Calibration
Reports - We have made
several changes to the reports of this system. These incorporate additions of
issue information and other fields. Additionally we have added the ability for
you to filter almost any combination of gages you wish for work here.

Today's Certs and Today's Labels -
We have added these new
features to allow you to batch print certificates or labels for an entire day's
work.

GMS Status Reports
- We have made several additions to these reports to support management
review functions and to provide additional information.

Crib
Management - We've
added extensive new Crib management features to GMS especially regarding the
movement of devices into Calibration status. Simple lists allow you to enter
mass groups of devices for movement into calibration status.

Utilities
- A new screen has been added to allow mass updates of locations
and /or assignments and /or status. This is a highly requested change.
Update a full list of devices quickly and easily.

E-mail
/ PDF Support - We've
added the ability to print reports in Adobe Portable Document File (pdf)
formats for easy exchange with other persons. We've also added the ability
to send any pdf by email using most common email software.

Incase
you missed our point, graphs are now found throughout GMS for Windows. Studies,
test data, etc, use them to simplify the data analysis process. |
