Year 2000 Considerations -
Gage Management System Pro for DOS

We have prepared the following to allay concerns about GMS Pro for DOS v5.0 Software. Past versions of our software are not included in these considerations. The four primary points of the Y2K issue are described below. We want to state that we have tested all functions of the software to the best of our ability and state our findings here. Please realize that this is not a guarantee and, in no way, modifies the terms of our user license agreement which you accepted as you installed our software.

1. Storage and calculations of date year in an unambiguous fashion 4 digit fashion GMS Pro for DOS uses a four digit year in all internal data storage.
2. Converts 2 digit year date shortcuts into unambiguous four-digit format GMS Pro for DOS only supports 4 digit year designations. Users are cautioned not to use 2 digit years. No conversion is performed if two digit years are used.
3. Correctly calculates and displays all leap year dates for the expected life of the product version (five years). As 4 digit dates, GMS Pro for DOS safely accomplishes this.
4. Does not use special dates (such as 99/99/99) to flag error or deletion conditions. GMS Pro for DOS does not use any of these techniques.
